the happy birthday days
The day after blocks came conveniently as a holiday for all of us ^^
For some others. This day proved even more special and significant
So papa mama nuer yanqi went early in the morning to a land quite far away to deliver breakfast to the birthday girl, who was being tortured as we "bundled" with the maid to discriminate lisyn by not serving breakfast at home.
Must be famished! Was about 10am ^^
Time past quickly. Shuzong left and in came Prof Mok and assistant Timtay
Calling for Canadian Pizza.
We played some (pokemon) monopoly.
Slacked around here and there while some others in the background played Neopets?!
There was a pretty nice card made for our bday girl (:
Sang the Bday song ^^
Cut cake. And eat. Duh XD
And thats about it. Haha
Ok now that the official report is over.
Lets go on to the. Not so official stuff. hehe ~
How about. Papa buying some toto. Hehe.
Or some. Sleeping. Hehe.
Ah but then. sleeping is very normal aint it not?
How about some. Threesome... sleeping. HEHE ~
Add in some tossing. groping. whatever u call. Get the idea? =p
And if its not enough for our dearest avid 6v readers.
Check out an exclusive. Gotta catch em all. RED HANDED.
WITH A VIDEO XDDDDDD
That was some fun.
Such a special day. Surely it was more than just a. normal birthday for some. for the rest of us, we shared loads of fun too.
So next time. Why dont you tag along too?
Dont stay at home. Dont be myopic and look short term. like hide in the car and mug for promos. and always say. load up. no time to lose.
I wonder who ah.
Yepp. Look longterm! This kind of bonds. Be it sigma bonds. or pi bonds. We probably wont forget for our lives.
At least not for me ^^
PS Sorry for those not shot by me. like shuzong who went off early.

So good to be over
The worst times are over. we are saved again!
Just a week before our blocks. we had much fun skating
Tie your shoes!
Our photo together at the skating ring! XD
soon the fun times ended. the frustrating times began
Some of us were in deep concentration
Some of us memorised the dictionary before GP..
Some were totally emo and lost their heads
And yet.. some of us just.. couldnt be bothered?
Ahaha retarded! Of course dont need care! WE'd be shocked if u did anyway
Check out this smile. Simply. Totally. Like a mugger's confidence smile. No problem tongzi! No stress.
In contrast to this. sian la exams no fun at all look. always AAAAAA. this one not any diff.
Whatever you felt, its over! Now its time for us to feel the same. Rejoice!
Of course there are the tired. Who needs some rest after prolonged mugging.
And the we need to discuss answers out of curiosity to know whether we deducted some 40 marks.
Hey. These 2 guys are acting oddly
They seem to be planning something. BIG. Shocking the world.
And when asked of the great plans, prof mok merely answered with a smile.
So whats up next for 6v. Its in for you to find out.
Lets have some earth shaking outing soon!!

The Void
I didn't do a blog last week because I honestly had nothing to say. Lately, I've just been laying low, kind of enjoying not having to do much.
Women's Studies is in a bit of a holding pattern until Cindy and I hear back from festivals, press, and a few other key folks who are getting copies of the finished film for one reason or another. It's been kind of nice to experience this strange thing which has been eluding me for the past two years. I think it's called "free time."
Yet there's also "The Void" to deal with. "What's that?" you ask. Allow me to explain . . .
I've been writing "seriously" for about twelve years now. In that time, I've written eight full length screenplays and more short scripts than I can even count. After the first draft of each full length, I've always experienced what I call "The Void." It's the space in my conscious (and subconscious) mind that was once filled with the energy devoted to whatever project I've been working on. The idea is that I put so much thought, emotion, and work into a story (or in this case, a movie) that when I stop working on it, the lack of energy and forward motion is slient, a little cold, and empty. I call that empty space "The Void."
Eventually, The Void gets filled up with everyday life; work, friends, hobbies, etc.
A lot of the time, I'll take the space left by a big project and fill it with a different smaller project. It's like there's so much energy left that even when the brunt of it leaves, there's still a little bit of power bouncing around. A lot of short scripts have been written in the wake of the big ones. Women's Studies was actually conceived in one of those Voids. I had written a different full length horror script and had some energy left over. The right combination of influences came together and the original short script for Women's Studies came to be.
The Void has it's dark side too. It's kind of like a break up after a long term relationship. There's a certain level of depression that comes with it. You've put all this effort, work, and love, so much love into this one thing that it's hard to believe it's over. But you can't hang on. That's an exercise in denial and stepping backwards. Once it's over, it's over. You can't go back. You can fix that which can't be fixed. You can't unlearn.
Mostly though, The Void is a great teacher of self. My self-image is always clearer after a big project. It's as if I've spent so much time in an imaginary world, my appreciation for the real world is heightened dramatically. I find myself looking in the mirror a lot . . . trying to see if the deep places I've been are visible on the surface.
Since Women's Studies is hands down the biggest, most ambitious thing I've ever done in my life, The Void is pretty huge on it. What's been good is that there's a a lot of left over energy that I've focused on things like exercise, diet, and remembering that Cindy was my wife long before she was my co-producer.
I thought this Void might be really tough, but it's actually been pretty easy. Maybe some things are so big that the energy never leaves you. It just changes into something else, something new. All I know is I feel like I 'm ready for anything.

Heroes Con Update
Hey everybody, Heroes Con is this weekend, and there will be a slight change in plans regarding my appearance there. I was originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday only, but now I will be there only on Saturday. An unforeseen family obligation ( a good one) requires me to stay home Friday. I'll be there all day Saturday however, and will do as many sketches as possible during the day. Hope to see you there!

Captain America #42 Cover
Marvel's September solicitations are here, featuring Captain America #42. Here's how Marvel describes the issue -
CAPTAIN AMERICA #42
Written by ED BRUBAKER
Pencils & Cover by STEVE EPTING
The final chapter of the epic "Death of Captain America" saga is here! The New Captain America, the Falcon, the Black Widow, Sharon Carter - all in a final showdown with the Red Skull and his minions for the future of America!
32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99
Comparing the cover featured in the article to the one above you'll notice that:
A) The cover on Newsarama is unfinished.
and
B) I changed the background at some point during the painting.
Not my favorite cover, but not my least favorite either. After all, it does have Arnim Zola on it.
UPDATE: Just for comparison's sake, and a little peek at the work in progress, here's the cover as posted in the solits-
You can see my pencils on the two main figures of Cap and Red Skull with flat color underneath them. The smaller figures below are more finished, but there was still work to be done on them. I liked the graphic appeal of the star, but the dominant blue field behind it merged too much with the blue of Cap's costume and made him recede into the background. Cap (and the Skull) needed to be the focal point and the cool blues of his costume contrasted much better against the warm red and white stripes.
At the end of the world.
At the lonely corners of the world,
where the sun's warmth never survived.
Figures in solitude is ever more so prominent.
And even the valiant cowers in the face of loneliness.
Not all hope is lost for love,
And joy,
Will exist amidst every winter.
Love is not about how many times you hurt yourself when falling but how many times someone is there to hold you back, to support you when you are in need.
Joy is not about the number of fortunate events that happened in your life but the number of times you bravely stood up to confront the impending onslaught of darkness and misfortune.
Success is not how many times you appear in the foreground but how many times you nobly recede into the background so that someone else can recieve their share of the spotlight.
Ultimately, life is not about how cold the environment is but rather how much warmth you can inject into other people's hearts. This is what makes life worth living for.
