In his place, two other Thais have taken up the K-1 gloves.
I have posted about Pajonsuk before. He's no stranger to K-1 style rules, having fought on the European "It's showtime" promotions.
He's had mixed success, but would still make a great fit for the K-1 scene. He trains out of Super Pro in Samui, where he was part of a reality TV show (Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYubY_NeieU)
Sagadpet, like Buakaw, has been strictly full Thai rules prior to being thrown into K-1. He's a former Lumpini, Rajadamnern and Mitsunishi 8 tournament champion. It'll be interesting to see how he deals with the rule set.
Fun fact: Buakaw and Sagadpet have actually met in the ring before (Watch: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xfvuk_buakaw-vs-sakadpetch-sor-sakunpan_sport). He trains out of Ingram Gym.
