HEM's LIFE

.

Today I was reading To The Manner Born and there-a reminder of the literary loss of the great giant Ernest Hemingway on today's date.  I like  the blog's -(& I quote) " irregular conversation about what's on my mind, observations on human nature, the decline of civility, and the ways men and women see the world differently."

"The decline of civility" - seems often to me- on the rise-nice to have someone interjecting what I really need and want to know:

something of substance-something of reading, writing & yes-humor and nonsense  and Hemingway.

Hemingway's LIFE in CUBA

listen or read at NPR

Nobel Prize-winning novelist Ernest Hemingway was 61 years old when he shot and killed himself, 50 years ago, on July 2, 1961. (link)

“Every man's life ends the same way.

It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.” EMH

The Manner directs his reader's to today's Independent story about the possible whys written by John Walsh-I do the same here.
